Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) 2023 Updates

The New York State Education Department (SED), Office of Child Nutrition Program Administration, will host multiple training sessions to provide guidance on the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for Summer Food Service Program sponsors and potential new sponsors.  Experienced sponsors, or sponsors that operated in 2022, may register for an in-person session or the webinar on March 27, 2023.  The same information will be presented for experienced sponsors at the in-person session and webinar.  The in-person sessions may be canceled if registration numbers are low. If you are unable to attend training on the dates listed below, please contact our office at cnsfsp@nysed.gov(link sends e-mail).

SED is committed to providing on-going training and technical assistance to Child Nutrition Program operators. Visit the Child Nutrition website regularly for the most up to date information and training schedules.  The Child Nutrition website will be updated to include recorded webinars on specific topics requested by sponsors.

  1. Log into CNMS
  2. Go to meetings under admin on the blue toolbar
  3. Click “SFSP Sponsor Training”
  4. Click on the date of the meeting you want to register for
  5. Click “Register for this meeting”
  6. Enter Name(s), Title(s), Phone Number(s) and E-mail(s) of registrant(s)
  7. Click on “Register”
  8. Click “Print Registration” to obtain meeting registration confirmation

To file a program discrimination complaint, a Complainant should complete a Form AD-3027, USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form which can be obtained online at: https://www.usda.gov/sites/default/files/documents/ad-3027.pdf, from any USDA office, by calling (866) 632-9992, or by writing a letter addressed to USDA. The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation. The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
