Local Food for Schools Cooperative Agreement Program (LFS) Webinar

The New York State Education Department (SED) and Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) will host a live webinar on January 5, 2023, on the Local Food for Schools Cooperative Agreement Program (LFS). This webinar will include a general overview of LFS application and program requirements, funding and how CCE will assist schools to identify local producers and complete LFS activities.

SED will subaward up to $11,891,161 to eligible School Food Authorities (SFAs) for the purchase of unprocessed or minimally processed domestic, locally grown foods from local producers, small businesses, and socially disadvantaged farmers/producers through the LFS. This webinar will be recorded and available from the Child Nutrition website for future viewing.

You are welcome to submit questions on these topics prior to each webinar to CNTraining@NYSED.gov.
