School Breakfast Grant Opportunity from Action for Healthy Kids
Too many kids across New York State are missing out on school breakfast. Funding is available to help schools make breakfast more accessible with Breakfast After the Bell. Please share this opportunity with your school, community, and networks!
Action for Healthy Kids has released its School Grants for Healthy Kids opportunities for the 2018-2019 school year. Funded schools will receive up to $3,000 to launch or expand Breakfast After the Bell, which includes breakfast in the classroom or grab and go.
Questions? Need help with the application? Please contact Action for Healthy Kid's New York State Coordinator: Mike Gulino
This is a great opportunity for schools to get a jump start on Governor Cuomo’s proposed ‘No Student Goes Hungry’ legislation which will require all New York schools with 70% or more of students qualifying for free or reduced-price meals to offer Breakfast After the Bell.
