2023 Summer Food Service Program Sponsor Training

The New York State Education Department (SED), Office of Child Nutrition Program Administration, will host multiple training sessions to provide guidance on the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) for Summer Food Service Program sponsors and potential new sponsors.  All sponsors new to the SFSP must attend the two-day webinar.  Experienced sponsors, or sponsors that operated in 2022, may register for an in-person session or the webinar on March 27, 2023.  The same information will be presented for experienced sponsors at the in-person session and webinar.  The in-person sessions may be canceled if registration numbers are low. If you are unable to attend training on the dates listed below, please contact our office at cnsfsp@nysed.gov.

SED is committed to providing on-going training and technical assistance to Child Nutrition Program operators. Visit the Child Nutrition website regularly for the most up to date information and training schedules.  The Child Nutrition website will be updated to include recorded webinars on specific topics requested by sponsors.

The webinars will be recorded and accessible on the Child Nutrition website, cn.nysed.gov, after the live version has concluded.

The webinars require the use of a computer with speakers, or a telephone, to view and listen to the presentation. The webinar works best when using Google Chrome as a browser. Email CNSFSP@NYSED.GOV for assistance.  

To Register for Webinars:
  1. Go to the zoom link listed in the above table. 
  2. Enter your First Name, Last Name, Sponsor Name, Email Address and Confirm Email Address
  3. Click the blue “Register” button at the bottom of the page
  4. The next screen will show the Topic, Time, Webinar ID and the link to join the webinar the day of the event
  5. This link will also be sent in a Registration Confirmation Email from Zoom
 
To Register for In Person Trainings:
*A CNMS password is required to register on-line
  1. Log into CNMS
  2. Go to meetings under admin on the blue toolbar
  3. Click “SFSP Sponsor Training”
  4. Click on the date of the meeting you want to register for
  5. Click “Register for this meeting”
  6. Enter Name(s), Title(s), Phone Number(s) and E-mail(s) of registrant(s)
  7. Click on “Register”
  8. Click “Print Registration” to obtain meeting registration confirmation

The completed AD-3027 form or letter must be submitted to USDA by:
