Turnip the Beet 2025 Nomination Packet

USDA’s Food and Nutrition Service is pleased to share the 2025 Turnip the Beet Nomination Packet. The Turnip the Beet Awards recognize outstanding Summer Food Service Program sponsors across the nation who work hard to offer children high-quality meals that are appetizing, appealing, and nutritious during the summer months.

Please consider sharing the opportunity to apply for a Turnip the Beet Award with your networks. Nominations must be sent to NYSED by January 15, 2025. NYSED will then forward nominations to the USDA Regional Office.

USDA will host a “Turnip the Beet” Webinar, on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.  You may join the event at 2:00pm on December 9 using this link. (Important: There is no calendar invite. Please make a note of webinar link and scheduled date/time to join.)

More information can be found on the Turnip the Beet webpage.
