USDA Updates to School Nutrition Standards

On April 25, 2024, The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) published the final rule titled, Child Nutrition Programs: Meal Patterns Consistent with the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans, which is the next step in continuing the science-based improvement of school meals.

USDA will host a webinar on May 9, at 2:00 PM for School Food Authorities on the final rule. The registration link for the webinar can be found at: https://www.zoomgov.com/webinar/register/WN_oJQkESVkTIynil5enHGsGg#/regi...

The New York State Education Department, Office of Child Nutrition, will host additional webinars in June to provide detailed information on the new standards that will include a live question and answers opportunity.

USDA Nondiscrimination Statement

Additionally, program information may be made available in languages other than English.

To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992. Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:
