Farm to School Program Request for Proposal

The Governor's Office recently announced a third round of funding available through the state's Farm to School Program. $1,000,000 in grants is available for projects that help serve school age children healthy, locally grown food. Grant proposals must request at least $25,000 and no more than $100,000 in funding over the term of the project.

All School Food Authorities (SFAs) and Recipient Agencies (RAs) in New York are eligible to apply for a Farm to School grant award(s) including public school districts, non-profit nonpublic schools, charter schools, residential care institutions, and Indian tribe organizations. Application are due Friday, November 3, 2017 by 4:00pm.

The Department of Agriculture and Markets is holding a webinar for all potential applicants on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 10am. Questions may be posed during the webinar.

To file a program discrimination complaint, complete the USDA Program Discrimination Complaint Form, AD-3027, found online at How to File a Program Discrimination Complaint and at any USDA office or write a letter addressed to USDA and provide in the letter all of the information requested in the form. To request a copy of the complaint form, call (866) 632-9992. Submit your completed form or letter to USDA by:
