Regional In-Person Training for New Food Service Directors

The New York State Education Department (SED) is committed to supporting Child Nutrition Program operators through ongoing training and technical assistance.

SED, Office of Child Nutrition Program Administration, will host in-person New Food Service Director Trainings in August 2025. This training is specifically designed for individuals who have served as New Food Service Directors in the School Meal Programs for five years or less. Participants will receive comprehensive training on all aspects of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program to support their success as first time Food Service Directors.

Professional Standards Credit: Attendees will earn 7 credit hours toward Professional Standards training requirements.

Please note there will be no food or beverages provided at this training.

Sessions will be held at various locations statewide. These sessions will be conducted at a facility, which will, to the greatest extent possible, meet the accessibility needs of individuals with disabilities.
